Requirements

* Fluency in Python & Django or confident that you can get there quickly, and 5+ years experience in another programming language

* You always leave code better than you found it, and you have opinions on software design.

* Self-directed, but also work well with other engineers.

* Excited about working for a startup and moving quickly.

* You currently live in the San Francisco bay area, or live in the U.S. and are willing to relocate to San Francisco.

* 5+ years of experience (internships included)

Preferred

* Front end experience with Backbone.js, Angular.js or any frameworks.

* Experience with RESTful APIs and API design.

* DevOps experience, especially with AWS, Vagrant, Ansible, and Postgres.

I'm interested, it sounds like a good place to work. But can you expand on this part? > Take the ownership of your parts of the system and be on call for them. Is it 24x7x365? Or rotating? And, on average, how often does it happen to actually call?

Hi Emil, thanks for your interest. Yes it means 24x7, specifics really depend on which part of the system is in question, it's a mix of rotation + cascading. I'd say don't expect more than a few calls / month but also I'm not the best person to answer so best apply and ask during the 1st interview. :)
