#12Holy moly, Apple is very aware of the competing chat apps. iMessage looks amazing and they packed a lot of features in there, but I wonder how they're going to make it all easily discoverable.
Look at Snapchat, it's a mess and still people figure out how to turn their selfie video into a bloodthirsty rabbit.

A lot of the features are pretty common-sense, too, and were parts of other OSes before Android.

#17Accessing everything on lock screen? So, my GF can see my app activity and pretty do all the things without my authentication? Craig touts specifically that we don't need to press the home button for all this to work...
iOS already shows stuff like message previews on the lock screen, with the option to hide their contents. I don't see any reason to believe they won't have a similar option here.

It's always easy to say that things are inspired from a different company or product, but always keep in mind that these features don't always come ready before a year or two of work. First person to announce it working and integrated gets the merit, but a lot of time, the same things are being worked on in parallel in different places :)

He wouldn't have refused them, but these would have been filler items or unannounced tweaks that people just discover as they use the product.
I'm not surprised we're seeing diminishing returns on smart phone UX though...

I'm sure you'll be able to decide the amount of stuff you want accessible from the lock screen, as you already get to do now, but you may have more pressing concerns regarding your partner's trust.
