If Satoshi is dead or not an individual person, then who owns his bitcoin? If Satoshi is dead, then his property would be subject to the probate laws of his home country. Can the bitcoin of a dead person be recovered if they don't make arrangements for it in their will? Or will blocks of bitcoin become inactive over time as their owners die?

I understand this, but there's also the dimension where his actions, whether true or not, are also damaging other people (Gavin's reputation is on the line). We'd all be more worried for him if he wasn't so blatantly causing harm to other people's reputation. Obviously he could suffer from severe mental illness, which combines elements of harming others and self harm, but as a society I think we should worry more abo…
