#5This actually makes me rethink George Lucas as being brilliant rather than stupid. It's also re-written the entire Star Wars saga in my mind for the remainder of my life.

to the survival of the Rebellion into the memory systems of this R2 unit." So, the interpretation of R2-D2's role at the beginning seems spurious.
