Graphistry, Louie. AI | Director of R&D; GPU AI Research Fellow | https://www.graphistry.com https://www.louie.ai | US Remote

Graphistry powers data-intensive investigations for enterprises, governments, NGOs, and tech companies around the world. Teams use Graphistry to investigate important problems like cyber incidents, misinformation, supply chains, and clickstreams. A Gartner Cool Vendor, we pioneered GPU cloud GPU client computing for visual graph AI and helped start what became Apache Arrow and Nvidia RAPIDS (GPU dataframes). We spun out of US Berkeley and are profitably growing year-over-year.

Louie.AI is our new genAI-native analytics tier that builds on the Graphistry mission and capabilities. The analyst-facing portion is genAI-native notebooks, dashboards, and APIs for interactively working with data much more easily. On the backend, we're building AI-automated investigation support for problems like large-scale continuous monitoring of emergencies.

We are hiring in two research roles:

====

1. Director of R&D: Remote; US - DC area preferred

You'll work with our CEO to:

- Secure R&D funding from our top gov partner agencies and global enterprise customers - Lead special customer projects that solve their hardest problems - Advance our GPU/graph/AI platform - Generally lead people, mission, and practice as we grow a formal R&D subdivision

Candidates should have a history of PI-level work or equivalent, such as in grant writing and award-winning research. Ability to support a Secret / Top Secret clearance is a plus. Big mix of technical, strategy, and communication skills - this is a fun and rare opportunity.

====

2. GPU AI Research Fellow: Remote; global - MS/PhD or incredible undergraduate

Paid remote fellowships with high ownership in 2 areas:

- GFQL: Open source GPU graph query language. Help us go multi/many GPU, streaming, out-of-core, and other fun challenges.

- Loiue.AI: Build an autonomous cybersecurity analyst that both senior and junior analysts will love

This is an EU role restricted to EU citizens with some financial help to relocate? They’re not confined, but no one said that

I assume the job is for EU citizens, with relocation assistance available. They phrase this as “we can only relocate candidates who are in the EU”. GP is here to point that this is a misleading way to phrase it because “EU citizens” isn’t synonymous with “people who live in the EU”, which is insufferably pedantic even by the standards of HN.

Oh, that’s just annoying lol. Thanks for pointing that out, thought it was a US person not aware of EU citizen movement rights

Whats the reason of the restriction for `We can only relocate candidates who are in the EU.` ?

The trivial reason would be no need to support visas, but happy to pay to incentivise you to move there

For Germany specific Blue Card, company doesn't really need to support the candidate, its fairly straight forward and easy to obtain if the candidate has the salary & degree for BC, they just need a job contract.

Dexory - Lead Networking Engineer (IoT/Robotics) - London/Oxfordshire - HYBRID - http://dexory.com

We are a post-series-B team building autonomous data capturing robots and related technology to improve the efficiency and accuracy of warehouses.

Our robots operate in challenging and unusual networking environments, and we need a dedicated networking engineer to help design, maintain, and troubleshoot customer deployments. This is a lead-level role that will give you the opportunity to set the strategy for our networking implementations now and in the future.

This isn’t a “design a big corporate network” kind of networking engineer - but instead a more open-ended role that can help us move quickly with setting up network links to our deployed robots over customer WiFi and cellular networks. You’ll probably be at home if you have deep knowledge about practical implementation of technology like WireGuard, know how to use Wireshark and read a pcap file, have played with OpenWRT, and can figure out why DNS isn’t working from two thousand miles away.

What is a forward deployed engineer? Clearly this isn't the case, but first thoughts were about strapping on some Kevlar and cleaning mines.

Its a typo, supposed to be "four word engineer". Any more than four and you're fired.

Especially if you are in a call with sales and the client, hi2u D&B.
