You like to help users in a production environment Strong in a *nix environment (1+ years), Ubuntu a plus Ability to explain networking concepts (layers, packet filtering, SSH, TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, etc.) Experience with AWS (ability to articulate your learnt knowledge or experience) Experience or knowledge supporting user access and schema creation with databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL a plus) You know how to write & maintain clear “how to” documents 2+ years of production administration under your belt Experience in programming or scripting (Python or Ruby a plus) You have automated some of your tasks (Puppet, Chef, Fabric, SaltStack, etc) Enjoy spending your day onsite with likeminded people Love what you do Authorized to work in U.S.We use AWS to: ingest and munge large amounts of data to deploy it direct to our clients as well as big effort in building sweet looking responsive web applications using Python/Django. Our solutions help the biggest financial institutes in the world make decisions. At AWS we automate where possible using CloudFormation, Ruby, Puppet, and Python while using EC2 with VPCs, RDS (MySQL), PostgreSQL, Redshift, S3, and other pre-baked Amazon services to run our operations.
