"Poaching" is disgusting rhetoric, as if employees were the property of their employers.

It fits if they're explicitly hiring Apple employees just because they work at Apple.

How could you confirm it's not based on their skills? You make it sound like Tesla has a personal grudge and isn't just seeking top tier talent.

It's difficult to "poach" people who are happy and well compensated. No one put a gun the these employee's heads.

I love Apple products, but what did they expect to happen when they colluded with other industry heavy-weights to suppress developer wages? This was bound to happen sooner or later.

Sadly that's exactly how most companies view their employees. I especially love hearing PM's refer to me and fellow tech team members as "resources" instead of "people". Nothing like being dehumanized on a daily basis.

No one is arguing that people belong to their employers. Poaching is a standard term to describe the process of strategically hiring people who are already working at a specific company.

You are not the resource. Your man-hours are the resource. Don't take it personally.
