Slack has been hacked?

#1
We use Slack at Clyp for team communication. I assumed that security would be one of their top priorities, but it appears that's not the case. Looks like "Elon Musk" and "Cal Henderson" have access to all of our internal communications. Great. http://i.imgur.com/zw91KHM.png

My first guess is that your coworkers have changed their names and avatars on Slack and are playing a prank on you.

When you modify a name/avatar on Slack, the change is made globally it affects all previous messages, etc. There are only 4 of us that use Slack, and you can see our user handles on the left under "DIRECT MESSAGES". No one is using the handle 'Elon Musk' or 'Cal Henderson'.

They can use whatever name/avatar they want if they use the Slack API.
