Did anyone else feel like the just read a paper written by a fourth grader with a thesaurus?

He pointed out that it would be difficult to discuss this topic without it turning into snickering and red faces, the proceeded to make it into a lighthearted sortof joke of an article.

Also, was I the only one that felt that the fact that the author was gay in no way whatsoever contributed to this at all?

This is a mildly interesting article, but if you don't want to read all three pages let me summarize it for you:

your penis has a ridge on it because sperm can live in a vagina for up to 48 hours. The ridge is meant to move any sperm that was in the vagina (potentially another male's) out of it. Longer penises can go further inside, and are better at removing sperm from further inside of the vagina.

I also lost all faith in this article when they went to a sex shop to buy false vaginas and dildos.

They make human reproductive analogs for use in the medical industry and experiments such as this one. They are near-perfect reproductions of the organs (they need to be for accurate research).

I know this because a relative of mine is a salesman for a company that builds them.

"I once spent a summer with a 450-pound silverback gorilla that was hung like a wasp (great guy, though) and baby-sat a lascivious young orangutan that liked to insert his penis in just about anything with a hole, which unfortunately one day included my ear."

Bummer, dude.

Why is HN more and more like Dick, I mean, Digg, nowadays?

An unavoidable trend, it seems :( First it was Digg, then Reddit, now it's HN's turn.

The unavoidable trend is users who've been here a few months posting comments about how HN is turning into Reddit.

Hmm, I could actually solve this problem with software; I could make it impossible to post a comment containing the term Reddit till an account was over a certain age threshold.

That's a bit Orwellian, since it's outright censorship. Might be better to make it subtler, like allowing the post but replacing the the word "reddit" with "fnord".
