They're probably showing the real analytics for some Google site--possibly a site that is used mostly internally by Googlers. Don't Googlers use G+ internally a fair amount? If so, pre-login breakdown doesn't seem so outlandish.

How is at a "lie"? A "lie" would be "This is what your site's traffic will look like". I'll assume OP is just being facetious about using the PRISM news peg...but the word "lie" does still mean something different than "for demo purposes"
