US Considers Creating Finra-Like Watchdog to Vet Top AI Models

They are setting the groundwork for banning Chinese open models. Since it's difficult to ban open source, their argument is going to be that these models are just too darn dangerous, so they'll have to keep them out of your grubby little hands for your own good.
