Show HN: Mathematics Refresher Book for people returning to maths

This looks so useful thank you so much for building this. I really need to get my mathematics back up to scratch to understand some complex statistical work I did with AI but can't explain or rederive and I really wanted to go back to basics with everything. Will defiintely hold onto this. Thank you so much.

I didn't go over the book but I played around with the interactive companion for a bit. By far the most helpful way for me to understand the concepts was to be able to interact with the visual demonstrations and be able to alter the variables. I found the concept and step by step working a bit too concise for my liking and prefer more explanation or more examples. I was working on something similar you may be interested in. And if there were a small lightweight LLM sidebar on the right where I could ask questions or explore concepts further or check my understanding which could be given the context of what I was working on then it would be very helpful. Additionally, skill trees or prerequisites of knowledge or difficulty levels plus progression tracking would make this amazing. But by far the most valuable component of the entire experience was the interactive companion. The testing (both before the interactive component and after) seems like it needs work as well and hasn't had enough thought put into it. I've heard of adaptive algorithms which are able to generate a test question, evaluate the answer, and then if wrong or right, tailor the difficulty of the next question based on the result of the previous one. That would be an absolutely amazing feature. I'm not sure how much work you plan on putting into this but if you turned it into something serious I'd pay a few dollars a month for it. The interactive component alone is well worth the experience. I'll need to play around with it some more but please email me. I have a related project we might be able towork on together for which your expertise sounds like it might be a match for my understanding of psychology and learning theory, psychology, and UI/UX design. Let's talk some more and make something amazing together. We've both have components of something much larger.
