Samsung to remove free SmartThings API usage, soon to be 4,99 for individuals

OP here: wondering if there is an alternative to this? I recently set up to be able to change the input and on/off state on my Samsung Monitor. For that I had to use their oauth, but that button in Apple home is not worth 5€/month for me. Is there any local, reliable method to do this?

I especially had issues switching to the USB-C input method, due to differences in their APIs (one was with the SmartThings CLI and the other I forgot, that homebridge first was using.
