Hi HN — I'm the author. I built MarkerOn because screen annotation tools I tried were either too heavy (Electron), too mouse-driven, or locked to a specific meeting app.

MarkerOn sits in the system tray. Press Ctrl+Shift+D to draw over any app, then X for click-through mode while marks stay visible. Number keys switch tools; shortcuts cover undo, colors, whiteboard, copy — no menus needed.

Stack: Tauri v2 + Rust, Vue 3, Canvas. ~1.5 MB installer, no account/telemetry/cloud. MIT, Win/macOS/Linux + Microsoft Store.

Happy to answer questions on overlay implementation, cross-platform quirks, or keyboard-first UX.
