Kenichi Horie

This guy crossed the Pacific solo at 23 (the first ever to do it). Then again at 83. 60 years apart. Same ocean. Same boat size. The 1962 trip: 19-foot plywood boat. No passport. No money. Arrested on arrival. The 2022 trip: 19-foot aluminum boat. 69 days. He says he's "still in the thick of my youth."
