The politics are a bit skewed vs reality, but that's just a function of masses not being there yet. It's way better now than like 3 or 5 years ago.

"a bit skewed" is a bit of an understatement. all nu-media appears to be populated almost exclusively by nu-people.

Lemmy dot world is completely insane. Lemmy as a federated software platform is okay, though. You might find more reasonable people on lemmy dot dbzer0 dot com which I believe is the second most popular instance.
