#2In startups you need people who go beyond the job description but a lot of people don’t have that attitude. I worked at supermarket in high school and one summer I got back from college they felt they owed me a job although they weren’t really hiring so I got attached to the store manager to do whatever odd job they needed whether it was deep cleaning the floor or painting a strip around the store or filling in the deli or the bakery and learning whatever I needed. Other people had similar experiences working at beach shops and other small and family businesses. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t get those experiences growing up.
