Anthropic wants to develop its own drugs

Everybody and his brother in the Boston area is into some kind of drug-development-as-a-service. Everybody is trying to get every kind of efficiency they can possibly get and that includes AI. At best Anthropic gets 6mo-1yr head start on the AI bit, but Bay Area people are not thoroughly surrounded by pharma they way they are in Cambridge -- I mean, Cambridge VCs were so unable to see outside the pharma box that they wouldn't fund Zuckerberg, Cambridge wouldn't play the social media game but the Bay Area can't win.
