Eventually someone somewhere will decide these LEO satellites are used for the military against their own sovereign countries and will have to start destroying them. We will end up with a graveyard in space where fragments will make it difficult to continue any space activities.

For those unaware there's currently a bubble of startup space companies going after similar contracts and while a part of me wants them all to be successful, it's nice to know at least some of these contracts are going to established companies who will do a good job. A space-based wireless network for the DoW will basically be a more secure starlink and it's good in my mind that a company with experience got the contract.

IIUC in this particular instance of corporate government space warfare, orbital decay should clear out the debris relatively quickly.

Military potential is true for all materiel. Including DoD satellites.

No, we won’t. Specific orbits will get trashed. And even then, only for a few years—LEO deörbits in months to years, the latter only for small things in high LEO.

this means that spacex is litteraly weaponised,and a linear part of the mechanism used to kill people in real time, and therefor acording to law, not just a legitimate target, but that any country targeted by such a system MUST defend itself by destroying this weapon (and killers) by any means availible to them, as this is how every nation describes it's right to self defence. Prior to this space hardware was used almost exclusivly for spying and for many years actualy helped reduce conflict by monitering troop movements, equipment, and then bieng able to reduce the element of surprise and promote diplomacy. The other problem is that fibre optic drones are rapidly becoming an equilising factor by bieng able to operate beyond line of sight at considerable distances, rienstating the ancient military limitation of : it is one thing to invade and capture an area, but it is something else entirely to successfully occupy that area.

If you're determined enough you can cause damage that does not decay or go higher than LEO. This risk already exists for accidents. If your goal is to cause it, it wouldn't be too difficult

Source? The only solutions for orbital denial I know of are in GEO, and even then it’s cheaper to just shoot down birds as they go up.
