This is fantastic and I am so happy to see the transparency displayed here, things like this really help people understand "the other side" of journalism.

This update is from five years ago. It's laudable and good that this is how they treat requests for things to be on background but it is also not new in the slightest.

This is from 2021. Still very laudable. A follow up on how that change in policy is going would be a very interesting read!

Hah, did not realize it was from 2021 when I posted it as I came across it in my bsky feed. Still - I think the list of examples provided in particular is of interest now as tech companies' attempts to control "the narrative" remains an ever present concern in tech press.
