Also, note the watermarking with SynthID, and the ability to detect Gemini-created sound/music

Yes, BUT... the obvious question is: Will other AI companies follow Google's lead here in creating/detecting watermarks?
And equally importantly, would they detect each others' AI-created works?

Honestly, I'd be surprised on both counts.

#7Trying to replace creative work is futile. How do you teach taste to something that can't feel? The lack of excitement tells you no one wants this.
Unfortunately, I think it's likely to be quite successful. I'd much rather believe that everyone everywhere is a discerning consumer, but I don't think that's the case if we look at the fictional AI artists in the charts at the moment.
