The certificate that expired is used to secure inter-process communications and the expiration resulted in the software not being able to start successfully. It is not related to internet connection and affects the Options+ offline installer as well.

#3It's both reassuring and frustrating. Reassuring because they decided to secure IPC somehow. Disappointing because this is such an unexpected failure mode.
My scroll direction broke, custom operations that I had apparently "saved" to the mouse also stopped working.
