No question that its better than Sonnet, which is better than most. Opus literally saved a small, but important part of a project I was on. I was saved at least a days worth of debugging.

why does this feel ai generated? apologies if its not but the style and layout overlap with typical ai output.

Yeah sonnet was pretty good with debugging for me too. I managed to fix a pretty serious bug in our company codebase with thousands of lines
