#3Oof. Cybersecurity staff have been getting fired left and right recently, and the people doing the firing (i.e. OMB director Russel Vought) have even been praising the budget-shutdown situation as giving them an extra excuse to do it.
It's not a reactive decision to the situation either: Vought is a major author of the "Project 2025" plan from the Heritage Foundation, they've been just waiting to gut government cybersecurity for years.
