Could we try a mini iPhone next? Nobody asked for thinner phones, but at least some percentage of people like small phones.

I like small phones too, but my understanding is that they tried that iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini and they didn’t sell well either. :/

I wonder why Apple keeps niche Mac and iPad SKUs around though, like the iPad mini.

iPad mini sells pretty well for how little it costs apple to keep producing.
