To me, this focus on the casual, conversational user is a sign that the AI doom scenario where they're replacing everyone with AI, is clearly not on the horizon. I would expect them to be fully tunnel visioned on that goal if it was actually within reach.

It's just that it's more and more obvious that there's no sustainable business model there. The capital requirements are insane, and the revenue is a trickle by comparison. They need a reason to exist, so they're throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.

Yeah it’s really bizarre, they’re basically just trying to reinvent the internet - social media, search, and of course now porn. Where’s the streaming video service?
