For the Americans who don't know what Eurovision is... Imagine the superbowl as a music concert. It is theoretically non-political, but politics sneaks in at the edges in places like this.

I'm European, Eurovision is and always has been 100% political, the "Eurovision is not political" meme has been a running joke since I was a kid.
