Software Modernization Projects Dilemma:Think Twice – Focus Is Saying No

I umderstand where the author is coming from, but it saddens me that doing the actual work of maintaining software is frowned upon. I would guess that whatever senior pumped those software dependencies into the codebase without a care towards updating them in the future was hailed as a 10x superstar.

Our industry is ruled by shortsighted, greedy children now more than ever.
