Why the nuclear energy Renaissance is real and necessary

The problem with traditional nuclear energy is that plants cost 10B to build and a decade or more to construct. Big investment, slow payoff This leads operators to run them cheaper and longer than is strictly safe.

I’d be interested to see some small (and relatively cheap) thorium molten salt reactors though.
