#3I am a moderate; I only get voted down when I make a mistake or post wrong information. I get corrected and I learn. I think there are other moderates here as well as even conservatives to prove that HN is not too liberal.

The comment in the example I made deserves to be removed. It is inflammatory, bad-faith, and deliberately dishonest. There is no intellectual merit to it, so it gets removed like an advertisement or a slur would.
If that constitutes "thought police" in your mind, you're welcome to start your own HN with blackjack and hookers.
