It’s got that classic characteristic of bad discussions on X is that it starts at 180mph without a lot of context and so comes across like a self-centered exploration of a delusion.

I know it is talking about a prior blog post but it doesn’t provide a link. You don’t want be that guy, but that guy doesn’t care if he is that guy or not.

Is this supposed to be a reply to our comments on his previous article or are there comments elsewhere?

Edit: I'm also wondering who is writing this - there is no name (not even pseudonym) or about page.

Original article seems to be https://fromtheprism.com/cubic-kilometer-problem.html so I guess it's a response to criticism on that article on social media but unclear where.

(ought to merge this thread, but thought this might be a good place to address your cults-of-personality concerns)

What better way to combat those than with cults-of-impersonality :) Emergent lexithymia* or even hyperthymia might be a bonus, because the bar would be so low for an otherwise unmotivated collection of individualistic emotionally-challenged...

*Staying in emotional sync with the rest of society, unlike X, like maybe the Jesuits :)

(Tangentially,but still syncwise, preppy team sports like crew/sailing or lacrosse >> music.. certain kids might have to be badgered into that)
