Grafana Foundation SDK – build dashboard in programming language

I want to cheer but it's also frustrating. It's very counter intuitive that even dev-tools frequently take years to land on config-as-code rather than starting there. The only explanation for this is product people and consulting revenue that's artificially restricting adoption of the approach that must be really obvious to everyone in engineering, right?
