#5It should be noted that Daniel Lacalle is a known contrarian and polarizing economist who has made a career of not aligning with the consensus view of economists. His work may be entertaining and offer interesting insights, but I wouldn't take it as gospel truth.

Good spot. Who the hell expected a blanket rate tarrif?? No one would find that sensible. Why tax cocoa imports as much as a phone?
