Ask HN: Use Cases of LLMs for Software Teams

I tried to come up with good ideas for LLM usage in our software department.

Sadly I couldn't come up with much besides what I would rather title "personal LLM" usage (e.g. using copilot suggestions, use chat features such as generating boilerplate).

Is there anything that you folks introduced and are happy with?

Apart from coding agents, I've not found anything useful around this space so far. We can't really solve the hallucination problems (at least I don't think so) - so it really restricts the amount of things you can do here that doesn't require a human in the loop.

Yeah, I lately tried to do some kind of automated migrations between an old and a new format which requires expert knowledge I don't have myself. In the end the solution also was way to creative with things that don't exist.

About improving development: A colleague suggested what github did with its code review feature (for pull requests) for our on prem bitbucket server.

Got some time at work to work on this topic, but can't come up with a good idea yet.
