He reportedly was a bit less of a dick after his years at NeXT.

When he returned to Apple, Apple ran more smoothly and successfully than ever...

...which supports the idea that his other traits were more important...

...such as his actual use of Apple products.

Tim Cook is a capable man, but if he logs even an hour a week using a Mac, it would surprise me.
