Gnome betrayed the entire FOSS movement by using Adobe software

Pointing fingers like this is more a betrayal of FOSS principles than what GNOME has done and makes me embarrassed to consider myself a part of the community. If you're working to support FOSS it is your right to use whatever software enables that goal best.

This feels like a great example of crying wolf. In the future I’ll be much less interested in what this author has to say.

There is so much prior art in GUI design it's very difficult to make a claim like that.

No needs. GNOME has and always will have a worse UI/UX than Apple.

Gnome didn't copy OSX, they copied webOS. Checkout any webOS tablet videos on youtube and you will find how similar it is. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTOuf1Eb9uA
