$1999 is impressive for 128GB unified memory, the 8060S GPU with the Ryzen APU on this machine is similar to a 4060 in performance, with dynamic VRAM this is an interesting option for an AI box.

Later a demo was showed with multiple networked boards in one case.

An AMD guy came on later and said they are focusing on Rocm in 2025, let's see what that means.

The lack of swappable ram feels very much against their ethos. I am not sure I can get behind this no matter the price.

They couldn't hit the memory bandwidth target for AI workloads with slotted RAM, they said in the demo.

It still goes against the principal of the company.

Maybe, but for very good reasons I think.

I would argue otherwise, I understand the financial reasons to look towards the AI market but I wouldn't say you should sully a brand and its philosophy for cash everytime.
