Maybe this is a bit 90s of me, but that seems like an achievement rather than black-mark. You generally don't want to invite spam, and I remember the days when it wasn't weird for people to try to make their e-mail visible to humans but obfuscated to web-crawlers. (For example, sharing it on your home page as a small image.)
That said, I can also imagine having a separate more-visible address used for interviews and resumes, in order to protect a main/personal one.
