#2This just seems plain illegal. It's affiliate fraud. In the past, people have gone to prison for things like cookie stuffing.

#6> The technical issues and neglect for users’ privacy are merely a sideshow here. These are somewhat to be expected for a small company with limited financing. Even a small company can do better however if the priorities are aligned.
I'm willing to forgive technical issues for a small company, but, if a company doesn't build to respect user privacy when it's small, then it's certainly not going to start doing so once it gets bigger.
