For a business site, seven minutes can be devastatingly long.

For a personal site, seven hours is usually nothing unless it’s happening daily or weekly.

Yes, going offline sucks. But seven minutes once a year is a small price to pay for self-hosting private services and keeping costs down to the absolute minimum. It’s not something that would bug me unless it’s happening at a high frequency (say, monthly).
