Show HN: Everyday Chef and Recipe Platform

#1
All of my friends wanted my mom's recipes when they came round for my birthday. Now I realised she doesn't store anything - it's all in her head!

Then the same thing happened with my friend although she writes hers down in a diary (how old school).

And then I noticed so many food influencers posting their recipes in the descriptions of their tiktok/insta posts.

And then as I started searching for recipes online, I found the websites full of ads and popups and terrible UI. I only cared about the ingredients and the method. So I created this, and have been having a lot of fun with it.

I hope to see up and coming food influencers using this as a platform directly to link with their social media posts, engaging and competing with an already interested audience.

Technical talk: Building a fullstack application so quickly and being able to publish all single handedly was a fantastic experience. The SEO is fantastic! My site ranks 1st on Google for related searches.

Edit: There are some links in the footer that may not lead anywhere. These are under construction.

There seems to be a bug in the 'report a bug' link as it doesn't actually seem to go anywhere to report a bug...

yes... the footer links are still under construction :) But please do share any bugs you saw here if you could.

500 error Oh no, something went wrong! if I sign up just using spaces as username, same when creating recipes - not something normal users are gonna do but 2 minutes of looking it as a destructive tester...

ahhh this is brilliant! I've just pushed a fix for this - thank you!

I've also deleted your user so if you start again it should not give you any trouble!

Thanks for being a destructive tester. Please keep going!

Using ! or & or ) in the Explore errors...(there might be more)

Browser width below 1270 and the recipe display looks bad (is the site meant to be responsive?)

Thai has Wiener schnitzel as its dish...

+1 for having ngolo kanté :)

Maybe have some recipes that are 3 and 4 star and tried and tested and most popular so you can better see those functions working?

- Use of punctuation characters is a brilliant one! thanks!

- the site is currently completely responsive in mobile and larger screens. The middle area as you've discovered struggles, but only in the Explore page.

As far as the data validation is concerned.. I'm sure you can appreciate its just me testing so the data sanitization is yet to happen.. (Bye bye ngolo)

Thank you very much for playing around with this!
