Most people don't want promotion

I've been turning down managerial jobs for the past 20 years. I just politely pointed out that the position doesn't play to my strengths. By continuing to do what I love, I continue to bring value to the company. Could I be making a little more money now? Probably, but you can't put a price on sanity and peace of mind.
