Verhees Engineering Delta 2 – A real travelling aircraft

This little plane will bring a smile to your face! It seems like the plane Stewart Brand and his Whole Earth buddies would have created back in the 1970s. There is a 25 s video of the plane landing at the bottom of the page.

I clicked on the link because I was curious about the phrase "travelling aircraft". An aircraft that doesn't travel isn't an aircraft at all, is it? But what they mean is that this plane is not just a recreational craft -- it has a range of thousands of miles.
