Ask HN: Which analytics platform do you use?

I wanted to use posthog, but usage based pricing scares me.

Other options: plausible, fathom, simple analytics

I usually deploy websites on Vercel but Vercel analytics is very limited and expensive.

What do you guys recommend?

If you're looking for something simple, GoatCounter is a good option. I've used it for several years now and have been happy.

Consider Microsoft Clarity—it's free, offers session recordings, heatmaps, and detailed insights. It's easy to integrate with Vercel, and unlike usage-based platforms, has no hidden costs. A good alternative if you want more than basic analytics.
