Why aren't humanoids in our homes yet?

One more step and it becomes the ultimate fantasy: it feeds you, takes care of you, looks after you...all that's left is sex and intimacy, then you get to be a child and an adult at once. How much are the rates for a live-in maid/prostitute? Certainly, anyone who could afford something like that wouldn't want a robot that is probably worse in every way.
