I've always been captivated by how video games come to life. Watching indie developers share their journeys—the art design struggles, the little victories—has been incredibly inspiring. I found myself spending hours on YouTube, following devlogs and tutorials, and dreaming up my own game ideas.
But over time, my YouTube feed turned into a chaotic mess, and the content I valued was buried under unrelated videos. So, I decided to build something for myself: GamesInProgress. What started as a simple personal project grew into a passion. I began curating a list of indie game developers whose work resonated with me, and now it features over 300.
Being a bit of a data enthusiast, I added stats like subscriber growth and Patreon earnings. It's fascinating to see how these creators evolve over time, adding another layer to their stories.
Recently, I noticed someone launched a similar project on Product Hunt. At first, I felt a mix of emotions—surprised, a bit anxious—but ultimately, it motivated me to share my own journey.
So here I am, sharing GamesInProgress with all of you. I've put a lot of passion into this project, and I hope some of you might find it useful. I'd love to hear your thoughts! If you have any feedback or ideas for improvement, I'm all ears.
