Russian antiwar activists placed their faith in Telegram, a supposedly secure messaging app. How does Putin’s regime seem to know their every move?

Are people really that naive to think a homegrown Russian app isn’t providing access to the kremlin?

If I was in Russia, I wouldn’t touch anything that isn’t iMessage with a 100 yard stick.

First, that's not theory at all. Second, we're talking about trust, not specific events.

And it's not just once four years ago. Apple didn't stop sending your info to their servers, did they?
