#3It will supplement the engineers in new ways that accelerate, or allow them to offload tasks/work to it removing the need for so many engineers.
Being able to easily set up iptables rules to add to ipsets, sys-adminny things could include ansible playbooks, configurations etc.
I can easily see teams being reduced.

I did not get into it (very short write up), but in general there is a never ending need to build new software and systems. Those efficiencies will simply allow more to be done and more software to be built. That's been the history of software so far.
