Re: How to restore the Windows 10 Video Editor
#2Months ago this app was randomly removed from every windows 10+ machine. Many people lost video projects that they were working on with no warning or explanation. When searching for a replacement microsoft would redirect to something called ClipChamp. This new app is no replacement unfortunately, it cannot import the old projects from the video editor and it is filled with dark patterns trying to get the user to sign up for a paid subscription. Anecdotally it is much less intuitive to use and offers no customization for where to save the videos. Please follow the arcane instructions in the link to restore the old application and automatically import any old projects that were saved on the harddrives of you or your family's computers.
