I think that article is a bit out of date. It’s a bit rainy and windy in Jamaica but nowhere near hurricane force. It hit at 1am and was briefly very rainy but has calmed a lot since it devastated SVG and Grenada. Source: am in Jamaica right now and my mother is sitting outside under cover reading a book.
Although it has dropped from Category 5 down to Category 4.

I think that article is a bit out of date. It’s a bit rainy and windy in Jamaica but nowhere near hurricane force. According to NOAA the expected arrival time of tropical storm force winds in Jamaica is 8am-2pm EDT, with hurricane force winds to follow: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov Although it has dropped from Category 5 down to Category 4.
